Honoring the past, and the future

Breaking ground on our newest affordable housing community is a historical event. In recognition of the many contributions that Dolores Huerta has made as an activist, community organizer and co-founder of the National Farm Workers Association, the predecessor of the United Farm Workers’ Union (UFW), we are honored to name our newest development the “Dolores Huerta Gardens”.

Building Community

CEDC’s commitment to affordable housing and community development has been unwavering for many years. With  the Dolores Huerta Gardens Apartments, we aim to create a positive impact by not only offering homes but also fostering a sense of community and empowerment for our residents.

Dolores Huerta Gardens Apartments, a  58-unit affordable housing development will provide much needed housing for both farmworkers and the homeless veteran community in the Ventura County area.

Set to include 19 one-bedroom units, 21 two-bedroom units, and 18 three-bedroom units, this property aims to address the housing crisis and offer a safe and sustainable living environment for community members.
