Here are the types of donor information that we collect and maintain:

• contact information: name, organization/company, complete address, phone number, email address
• donation information: amounts donated, date of donation(s), and payment method
• information concerning hours you have volunteered, information about events you have attended, your requests and comments
• and non-personally identifiable information, such as how many hits each Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation website page receives and if the visitor is repeat or new. This requires that a ‘cookie’ be sent to your web browser.

How Information is Used

Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation uses your data to maintain records of donations, send acknowledgments, mail donation receipts to you, send newsletters, notices, and direct mail pieces and for internal marketing purposes.

At your request, we add you to our mailing list. You are able to opt out at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us by email. Our third-party mailing service is contractually obligated to treat the lists with confidentiality and prohibits transferring them elsewhere.

Credit card numbers are not retained and your sensitive financial information never touches our servers. Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation does not list individual donors on our website or in our annual report. We know not all donors would like that information to be public. We are, of course, happy to celebrate your donation if you would like to be listed as a supporter, please contact [email protected], and we can discuss how to honor your wishes. 

Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation will not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside organizations. The use of donor information will be limited to approved Advancement personnel for the internal purposes of Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation only to further our mission.  Nevertheless, security measures may not prevent all losses, and Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures.
