Alfredo Martinez, Vice President of Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation’s (CEDC) Board and community representative for Oxnard, recently received national recognition for his outstanding work in financial inclusion and community impact. At the annual conference of the National Association of Latino Credit Unions & Professionals (NLCUP), Martinez was honored with their inaugural Emerging Leader Award. This award acknowledges his dedication to advancing financial education and empowering economically underserved communities.
As Premier America Credit Union’s Financial Inclusion & Education Officer, Martinez has led over 60 financial wellness workshops in the last six months, reaching countless individuals across Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
